Error: "Can't finish previewing. There isn't enough memory. ID: -108" in Illustrator v25.4 on M1 Mac

I keep getting a pop-up giving me the error message that there isn't enough memory (ID:- 108 whatever that means) and am stuck. It's a new Macbook Pro M1 plus there are no other programs running.

Been getting more issues with Illustrator on the new Mac than it did on my old Macbook Pro 16 GB from 2018.

Yes, the error only occured with a specific file I was working on. It was saved on my system HD and was pretty small in size (under 100 MB).

I copied the layers to a new file and started over and the issue didn't come up so it was with the file itself. Won't be able to share the file though because I deleted it after. Will try to re-create the issue to understand it better.

Hi there,

Sorry about the trouble you are facing. I can understand your frustration. I would suggest you to try the steps shared in this help article (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/illustrator/kb/not-enough-memory-illustrator-cc.html) and share your observation with us.
Also, are you getting this error while working on a specific document? If yes, could you please share the document with us? You can upload it to the Creative Cloud (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/share.html) and share the download link.
Where are you saving the files (Network Drive/ System HDD/ Shared Folder on System/ External HDD)?

I will be looking forward to your response.

Thanks & Regards,

Anshul Saini

Updated to V25.4 after. Probably was V25.3 when creating the file.
