Error: "Some text was on a locked layer and the font could not be replaced." in Illustrator

When I select FIND FONTS and try to convert one font to another, a message appears that the font cannot be changed due to the text being on a locked layer. I checked that none of the layers are locked and checked that no content on the document is locked. Has anyone ever had this issue and if so, how did you resolve it?

Check to see if you've hidden any objects that might be locked individually.

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about the trouble you are facing. I would suggest you, please check for hidden layers and unlock all layers from the Layer panel menu by clicking on the hamburger menu.

Also, please check if both the font which is being replaced or about to be replaced is active from the Creative Cloud Desktop app or installed on your system.

If you are still unable to change the fonts, then I would request you to package your file and share it with us, and we will check it at our end. You can upload it to the Creative Cloud (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/share.html) and share the download link here or via DM.

Will be looking forward to your response.
