Excel graph data import issue

Hi, I'm having trouble importing data from Excel to Illustrator on a Mac.

On a PC I can copy and paste a table directly without any issues. However when I copy and paste from Office 365 to Illustrator on a Mac, the data corrupts. Exporting a pdf table displays fine in Acrobat so it appears to be a Mac Illustrator issue. I've tried breaking the data links and changing the fonts in Excel, and copying and pasting the data from other programs, though it still corrupts when opened or pasted into the current version of Illustrator.

Thanks

Correct answer Myra Ferguson

The copying/pasting of a table from Excel into Illustrator on a Mac has been reported as a bug on Uservoice. I'd recommend upvoting it. There was a workaround in the comments that recommended copying the table from Excel and pasting into InDesign first. Then copy it from InDesign and paste it into Illustrator.
