Would be nice to have rectangles, lines and such drawn as if they are not shapes by default.
95% of the time it just annoys me. Every time I draw shape I press shortcut for expanding it.
Scaling line shape proportionally by dragging the size is impossible. I used to make lines longer with the help of bounding box.
There is a way, but that means changing the Adobe Illustrator Prefs file.
Generally not a good idea, resetting prefs or updates will reset your edits.
There is an item in the prefs file: /createLiveShapes 1
If you change that to /createLiveShapes 0 you will not create shapes anymore.
