export artboard for screens wont go from x5+ to x1 without me having to type it manually

so I've noticed this for years now and wondering why this is. 
So if you go export artboard for screens, in the formats and type in 5 or any number higher then change you mind and want to go back to x1 the dropdown menu wont do it. I have to type it in manually. but the weird thing is if you go from for example x8  and decide to go back to x2 on the drop down it works, then type x8 again and try the drop down for x1 it magically works haha

Sorry to hear about your experience. I tried replicating this behavior on my end but could not do so. Would you mind sharing some more details, like the exact version of the OS/Illustrator, link to a sample file (if Illustrator only behaves this way with some files) and a screen recording of the problem (https://adobe.ly/3PQjSFp), so we can investigate this further?
