Export for Screens does not preserve file metadata

Using AI 27.1.1 (64-bit).  Windows 10 Pro

I notice that when I Export for Screens, the resulting files lose the metadata that I set via the File->File Info for the AI file.  In Export for Screens, I'm generating a bunch of JPG's, PNG's, PDF, SVG.  But I don't think what I'm generating should matter.

Specifically I'm setting Author, Author Title, Copyright Status, Copyright Notice in AI from File->File Info.

From the resulting files, when I right click in File Exporer and view properties, I don't see the metadata tags I set.  Same when I load the images into an EXIF editor app.

Is Export for Screens supposed to preserve the file metadata info?  It's kind of a bummer if it doesn't.  I can go and use a batch editor after the export, but ideally I wouldn't have to.

For me, even the export to various JPG's was spotty in terms of whether metadata was saved.

I've started using Adobe Bridge to batch update metadata.  Very easy.

As far as I can see, at least exporting (for screens) to .jpg and .pdf files actually works including the metadata.

Exporting to .png and .svg files does not preserve the metadata.

Yes, correct. I tried PNG.

Yes, there is no option to keep metadata in the export.

You could set up a batch action in Photoshop as a workaround.
