Export from AI to TIFF in 300 Dpi

Hello,

I work on my files with illustrator in 300 dpi then when I export in TIFF to open in photoshop & I zoom in in 300% I have a pixelation problem.

As it is for fabric print I don't want to take any risk to get some irregularity on my design. How can I improve the result ?

My files are quite big 220cm/150cm.

Thank you so much for the help,

Regards,

Isabelle

    Isabelle,

Illustrator files are resolution independend, the only time that 300 dpi makes sense in Illustrator is when pixel effects are used.

Looking at your screendump it looks as the file was exported at 72 ppi.

Saving the file at the dimensions you specified would result in a file more than 1,7 gig.

On top of the antialiasing: Ask the folks at the production facility. Most probably the structure of the fabric is so rough that you won't see any of this anyway.

In the export options choose resampling .
