Export illustrator pattern as .pat

Hello,
Is it possible to export an illustrator pattern such as the Basic Graphic Textures into .pat files?
I would like to use these in Rhino. 
When I try a workaround and export as .psd and then from Photoshop export as .pat, I get an incompatability error.
