Export Illustrator to Photoshop Massive Fail
I thought I was used to Adobe's occasionally bizarrely non-functional UI, but this is a new one... Environment is Windows 10, all the latest updates, both on Windows and the Adobe (cloud) products. i7 system with 16GB of RAM.
I have a simple Illustrator file. It contains a cropped image, and about ten paths in four layers. When I do Export As -> Photoshop, using all the defaults, the export process starts...and then after a few seconds the Illustrator screen goes completely black, and Illustrator appears to freeze (i.e., no further movement of the export progress bar, Windows reports only limited CPU usage, etc).
Being able to export from one of your file formats to another of your file formats, if at all possible, ought to be drop dead simple and foolproof. You control both sides of the technology, after all!
But not if the UI is written by Adobe, apparently.
Workarounds? Thoughts?
