Export is adding random elements

Hello,
i am having a rather peculiar issue with Illustrator. i have created a sercies of icons inside many artboards.
i want to export some of the icons as separate .svg. when i group the elements consisting an icon, i drag them to the export panel. the preview looks ok etc. when i export though the final result is the group i chose and show in the preview plus a random element from another group. any idea why this is hapening?

Did you already try a computer restart?

Yes, and after the restart when i open the file and check the export panel, i can the "real" preview (that contains the randrom element). if i select the group this element is not included in the group. and this is the same element that is being added to the groups.

So the element is in the panel as well? Can you please show that?

 

Are there clipping masks?
