Export looks like trash

I've bee ntrying to figure this out for two months now and there seems to be no answer. Any time I create an intricate design in Illustrator, the export looks like trash. The pattern below is a great example of this issue. The first is a screeshot in the Illustrator artboard and the second is a screenshot of the JPEG exported from Illustrator.I've tried every possible combination of settings but cannot export any intricate artwork. Are there any workarounds to this?

    What anti-aliasing option did you choose during export? Art or Type Optimized?

    What resolution do you use?

    Does PNG give the same result?
