Export Png 300 ppi Pixel Increase Which times?

In illustrator When I export as png with the artboard for 100*100 with 72 ppi i found a Png with size 100*100 pixel .

But problem Comes when i export this with 300ppi ..I found a png which is 418*418 . That means it increases 418/100= 4.18 Times ...But when i export an artboard 1000*1000 with 300 ppi i found a png with 4168*4168 .That means it increases In this time  4168/1000= 4.168 Times .. Now i just want to know how can i calculate how times will my png size would increse .

By the way i know SAVE FOR WEB is a solution for saving 300ppi png .But i want to know this for EXPORT AS option .

Can anyone help me out?

If you need to work with proportions like 300/72, it is often easier/more accurate to use the reverse, in this case 72/300 = 0.24 which is an exact number. So instead of multiplying by the approximate value 4.16666666666 etc, you can divide by 0.24, or as in your post #5, instead of dividing by 4.1666, you can multiply by 0.24, so it would be

(4000/4.1666)*(3000/4.1666)=960.15*720.01 px approximately ...  >  (4000*0.24)*(3000*0.24)=960*720 px exactly

As I (mis)understand it, you can just create or scale the artwork at the desired pixel x pixel size, then Export at 72PPI, but it has no advantage over Save for Web, where it is easier because you can just set the desired size of the PNG in the Image Size window.

With Export at a resolution like 300 you will inevitably have a mess of a size for any raster format.

The funny numbers reflect the ratio between 300 and 72 which is 300/72 = 1/0.24 ~ 4.16666666666 etc

What physical size do you want your 100 px image to be? If 300 ppi is what you're after, presumably it's a 0.33 x 0.33 inch image?

Make a 0.33 x 0.33 in artboard. Create your image. Save as PNG at 300 ppi. You should now have a 100 x 100 px 300 ppi PNG.

Actually, I want to know the process of increasing px after exporting png with 300 ppi ..Because it would help me in various situation ..

I just want to know how can i calculate how much px size would increase after exporting png.

Ok. A pixel as a unit of measurement in Illustrator is the same as a point: 1/72 of an inch. If you create a 100 px artboard, you've created an artboard 1.39 inches high. This means that exports at 72 ppi (pixels per inch) will always be the size you expect. If you try export at 300 ppi, Illustrator interprets that as meaning you want a 1.39 inch image at 300 ppi. This is 417 pixels.
