Exporting an intertwined object in illustrator to a pdf - coming out blurry

I'm trying to export a logo designed using the new intertwined feature. When exporting as a pdf its coming out blurry the rest which isnt intertwined is exporting fine.

    Expand before save as PDF is a workaround. See also:
