Hi,

I work as a video editor and have been given quite a large project that involves patterns. The patterns are all saved as illustrator. Theres roughly 46 of them. I need to export each one as a differnt colour, I have 32 colours I need to do this in. I started doing it manually but its to time consuming. Can anyone please help?

Thanks

Tom

Are you working in Ae or Pr?
If you're working in After Effects, what you can do is apply. The pattern to a. Perfectly scaled shape. And then copy and paste that shape directly into After Effects.
If you're in Premier Pro, you can save them as an Illustrator file, but you need to make sure PDF compatibilities was turned on. And the object is to the size that you want it to be with the pattern applied.

Illustrator is open almost 24/7 and just about the same for Bridge and Photoshop

Are these simple one colour patterns, multicolored?

If you select an object filled with a pattern, you can use Edit > Colours > Recolour Artwork to automatically create a new variant without opening the pattern.

So the patterns are on individual art boards, and I have a colour swatch with 32 colours in it. The patterns are one colour. So basically I can change the colours easily, but then I am having to change the colour 32 times then export the file and save it, over 46 different art boards (Each art board has 1 pattern on it)

Using the Export for Screens function is not an option?
