Exporting PNG to Exact Artboard - size for print

Hi..

Maybe I'm an idiot or just lost. I'm sure my old Adobe 6 I didn't have this issue.

So I set the artboard at an exact size for print (in this case 80mm x 90mm label)

Exporting at 300dpi using the checked artboard

Image is coming out full size (almost letter paper 8.5x11 when I test print)

Is there a better way to get this to be exact  - seems like it should

Any help greatly appreciated

You can export the artboard using Export for screens and set the Scale > Resolution to 300 ppi.

Thanks Tom - the 300 looks great but its coming out large. the 1x looks like correct size but only 120k.

Do I have the settings messed?

If I do it this way, it comes out at the correct size and resolution.

Have you checked your print settings? Something like print to scale or such (too many different printers to know what yours might say). You could also export a pdf and print from there, it is a more reliable way to print.

We found the PNG (test print) at the printer looked way better color wise tha tthe PDF which seemed to darken everything  - usually PDF is good I agree.

even when i open on the desktop It's giant - never used to have this issue before it seems doing biz cards
