ExtendScript Debugger not working with Illustrator 30.8

I’ve lodged a bug on uservoice: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447-illustrator-desktop-bugs/suggestions/51665947-illustrator-30-8-extendscript-debugger-cannot-att

It would be really helpful if any ExtendScript Debugger users reading this who are using Illustrator v30.8 could confirm this bug so we can know more, eg. which platforms it affects.

Yes I’ve just come to update a couple of production scripts and Extendscriopt Debugger totally fails to connect. I could really do with this being fixed as I have a couple of items in development ATM and updating code without Extendscript Debugger is really tedious

Thanks for your patience while I checked this with the product team.

The team has confirmed that this is a known issue affecting ExtendScript Debugger connectivity with Illustrator 30.8 on macOS. The issue is related to a recent change in Illustrator that is preventing the debugger from establishing the required connection with the application.

The product team is aware of the issue and is working on a fix. I’ll keep this thread updated as soon as we have more information regarding the resolution or availability of the fix.
