Feather single edge...

I know that with InDesign, you have the controls/Tools to feather a single edge of any graphic. I cannot find a way to do this in Illustrator. Please help. Thanks!

It can be done by applying a gradient opacity mask to one edge.

Apply the Opacity Mask.

1- Create a black and white gradient on the image that you want to give the Feather.

2- Select both Transparency> Make Opacity Mask

Create a black-to-white gradient on a separate object, and then use the object as a mask in the Transparency Pallet.
