FEATURE REQUEST: Easing Controls for the Blend Function

I’d like to request an enhancement to the Blend tool that introduces easing control for transitions between steps. Currently, blends distribute intermediate objects evenly, which limits the ability to create more natural or dynamic progressions in size, position, or color.

Specifically, I’d love to see:

  • Easing In/Out Options: A way to control acceleration and deceleration across blend steps, similar to how easing works in animation curves. This would allow for smoother, more organic transitions.
  • Custom Curve Editor: Ideally, include a small graph or curve interface (like the one used in After Effects or Illustrator’s gradient editor) to adjust how aggressively the easing behaves — from linear to exponential, logarithmic, or even custom bezier curves.
  • Per-Attribute Control: If possible, separate controls for position, scale, and color blends to fine-tune how each property eases over the span.

This feature would make the Blend function significantly more expressive and time-efficient, reducing the need for manual adjustments or scripting to achieve natural motion effects in static artwork.
