Question

"File > Export As..." dialog box no longer automatically shows the original folder from which the file open came

Essentially, in Illustrator CC 2017 and before, if you went to export a file (File > Export As...), the dialog window would show the folder applicable to the file you have open, no matter how many files you had open at a time. But in CC 2018, the dialog window opens on the last folder you exported to instead of the appropriate one. As someone who exports a lot of files from different folders during a single workflow, it's a bit of a hassle to have to the find the right folder when the prior version made this a breeze.

Is this a bug or is this a preference I can toggle? Please help! Thanks in advance.

i've seen a few threads on it. there's a post on the uservice site too that you should vote/comment on:

Default export folder to be the same as the opened document located in – Adobe Illustrator Feedback
