File is blank but layers and paths are still visible

I have turned on my computer opened a file that I was working on last week but the file shows nothing, I can see the preview, the paths, and the layers. When switching to outlines everything is still visible. I have sent the file to others and they are seeing the same thing.

I can copy and paste items into a new file and it is shows up fine.

Is this file corrupted or is there a setting I need to adjust?

If they show up after copying into a new file, then that's what I'd do. Maybe the file got corrupted. You can perserve layers using the option in the Layers panel menu

Hello @peg00779,

We understand that encountering technical issues can be frustrating. As suggested by Monika, it could be possible that the file is corrupted. Would you mind sharing the file here or via DM (https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator-discussions/share-your-files-in-6-simple-steps/td-p/12967531), so we can check it on our end? Although we cannot guarantee a successful recovery, we will try our best to do so.

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

Anubhav

I ended up copying and pasting everything into a new file and haven't had any issues. Thank you!
