File Recovery on Expired University Account

Hello,

I am an ex-post-grad Urban Design student whose university creative cloud account paid subscription has expired. I have a number of files only saved to the cloud on Illustrator, Photoshop, and Indesign (slightly foolish I know) that I would like to download onto my computer but I am unable to access them anymore.

What are my options for accessing them again? If I am willing to pay for a subscription will it need to be paid through the University (the account uses a university email), or can I create a new adobe account and transfer the files into the new account (even though I don't have access to my old uni account).

I hope this makes sense,

Thanks for the help.

Hi Ryan,

We are sorry to hear about that. As Laura said, you need to get in touch with your IT admin and have to ask them to migrate your assets  (https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/using/migrate-student-assets.html) to your personal account if they didn't delete them already.

If they have deleted them, then ask them to contact Adobe support from the Admin console (https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/using/support-and-expert-services.html), and they can check if there is a possibility to recover them.

Also, you may share this helpx with your University It Admin to setup Automatically transfer assets before they leave the university or their account gets deleted.

I hope you get your files back.

Regards,
Anshul Saini

You may have to get in touch with your university at some point to get access to those files, but don't hesitate to get in touch with Adobe support to ask your question: https://helpx.adobe.com/support.html

Thanks, I hope you get it sorted out!
