Hi there,

I have a file with 3 small file sized picts placed in it the largest being 1.3MB but my overall file size is over 40MB! And that is reduced in Adobe Acrobat!

Why is my file size so huge?

    Link rather than embed the images  and do a save  as and turn off pdf compatible.

    So the file size is the JPEG on your hard drive?

    That is compressed. When expanded, it's much larger. Illustrator expands the image when placing.

    Hi Monica,

    Yes, I reduced the images in Adode Acrobat as well. They are all pdf's
