Hi-

I have a document I made in Illustrator. I have a few fields such as name, sig, and date that I would like to be fillable on a computer. Is this possible with AI on OSx and if so where can I find instructions on how to do it?

Thanks, j

    • Create the design in Illustrator
    • Save your design as a PDF file
    • Open the file in Adobe Acrobat Pro and add text fields
    • Edit your Text Field Properties
    • Save it as an editable template
    • Test your template
    • Done

    Daniel's answer is correct.

Of course, Illustrator and Acrobat Pro DON'T exist (yet) on OSx. They're available however on Windows and Mac operating systems.

Apple's names are confusing. I think for OSx we can read OS X, the approved name from 2012 of Mac OS X, and since 2016 officially called "macOS", which few of us have caught up with... meanwhile there is no Illustrator or Acrobat for iOS. Actually, there is an Acrobat for iOS, but it doesn't do this...

my bad, i should have just said Mac OS. of Mac or whatever. Or maybe it doesnt even matter. Sucks I have to get Adobe Pro to do this on top of Illustrator. Thx all.

    Hello @Bluewater Cove Treasurer,

Thanks for reaching out. The Acrobat Pro subscription does not include Illustrator. You can learn more about the plans and pricing here: (https://adobe.ly/49fcLz3).

Feel free to reach out if you have more questions or need assistance. We'd be happy to help.
