Fills for Image Traced Artwork

Hello all, 

I've been running into an issue when using image trace on drawings I want to fill. When I image trace the artwork and then expand it, I'm only able to do fills on the outlines even though all my shapes are closed. I've used Live Paint and expanded it and still doesn't work, any help would be appreciated.

Looks to me like Live Paint should work on this file.

Can you share an .ai example?

CC filesharing, Dropbox, WeTransfer.

Will do! I'm attaching the file here, never had this problem before with filling artwork, I remember on previous versions I was able to do fills immediately after tracing. How can I share the .ai file on here?

You can try a PDF with AI editing enabled, but Illustrator files cannot be shared here,  you must use something like: CC filesharing, Dropbox, WeTransfer.
