Floor plan editing

Hi,guys! could someone help me with clear steps to process a plan in adobe illustrator. I am at the beginning of learning the program and some commands do not help me much. To begin with, I exported the plan from Archicad and imported it into Illustrator. Here, however, I cannot process the lines. They appear in a rectangle with diagonals, which, whatever I do, cannot be processed. Thank you!
