Flyout menus?

I know this is probably an unusual request, but is there anyway to have illustrator menus fly out or open away from my artboard? (i.e. to the right) It really annoys me when these things pop open inside my work area.

You could try the following (I'm assuming you're referring to the panel menus, not the menus under File, Edit etc.):

Drag the docked panels away from the Illustrator window, so they are floating panels.
Then reduce the width of the Illustrator window, and move the panel groups to the right of the document window, leaving enough room on screen for the panel menus to pop open on the right side of the screen. This will leave your artboard fully displayed at all times, albeit at a smaller size.
Alternatively move the panels to a second monitor.
