Font Apply Similar Filter No Longer Working Illustrator

Hey all, I had been using the similar filter to find fonts but for awhile it hasn't been working. I thought it was the new update but I haven't seen anybody else post this issue. I am able to use the similar filter in inDesign but not Illustrator. I even tested the same fonts and inDesign does give out similar fonts but Illustrator shows nothing. Is there a setting I may have changed by accident to disable it?

      Another feature Adobe broke… The list is becoming endless. This stuff just used to work in CS. Most of the shit in CC is either bugged, crashes or no longer works. Or takes ages to load. 

      What the are you guys doing to break these features Adobe? it’s so incredibly frustrating.

      Hello @GonanBarbarian,

      I'm sorry to hear you're having similar trouble with Illustrator. I tried replicating this behavior on multiple computers on my end but could not. Could you confirm the version of the OS/Illustrator installed and if this started happening after a recent update so we can better assist you?

      The filter works on my machines (latest version of AI (22.0.0), Mac Sierra 10.12.6).

      Which version of Illustrator and what OS are you using?

      Latest Illustrator CC and Windows 10. My inDesign filter works but not on Illustrator.

      I beg your pardon. Just accidentally used a pre-release version and not the latest one.

      In the latest version (22.0.1) the filter is obviously broken. As a lot of other things …

      Anybody have any suggestions? I'm stumped, it won't even show similar fonts for Times New Roman, and I know there's plenty!
