Font is changing in AI even though I selected Myriad Pro Only

I have created some documents in AI using Myriad Pro font. I selected Myriad Pro as the only font I want to use for AI and Adobe Acrobat. However, after I save the document, it may open and show Myriad Pro or vary with as many as ten different fonts. I tried all the other solutions (saving the files with different names, selecting Myriad Pro as the sole font, and confirming font use on initiation of the document). The automatic text transition is very irritating and complicates my book's completion.

I also selected "Do not modify" when I reopen it. I am growing weary of this issue. I have 21 pages to fix on the file I just reopened, and it has eight different fonts present. I saved it with one font in use. Why is this occurring? I am very close to bailing on this system and trying to complete my product elsewhere. Do not tell me to save it in MyCloud because every time I have done so, the document gets screwed up, or when I sign into MyCloud, I receive a message stating that it does not work and the work is no longer available there. Yes, I have previously deleted everything and downloaded and installed everything again (the same results occurred). I am not happy (and I am trying to be very polite about this issue).

So you created the document in Illustrator?

And you downloaded Myriad Pro via Adobe Fonts?

And your subscription is still running?

Then the font should still be available. 

 

But you might have run into issues with your account and probably the fonts do not synchronize properly.

Did you already try logging out then into your Adobe account?

The main page appearing when I signed in states a payment error occurred. The payment has been processed - I received an email stating it was processed. I did not receive any news that the payment did not go through. I will try logging into AI again.

If it doesn't work, then I would suggest that you contact Customer Care about the payment issues. They are the only ones that have access to your account data. https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html
