Font Name for English font appears in Asian characters

I've attached a screen capture with four markups: 1) Shows the English-alphabet Yuppy font as it appears in Suitcase and as expected. 2) Shows the font in use in an Illustrator document as expacted. 3) Shows how Yuppy appears in the Extensis (Suitcase) font panel plug-in, as expected. 4) BUT Illustrator's Character palette shows the font character name in Asian characters.

The same font name appears correctly in the Character palette in InDesign.

Is there a setting somewhere that would cause the font name to appear in Asian characters in the Character menu, while the font itself behaves perfectly?

Did you try to set Preferences > Type to Show Font Names in English?
