Fonts changing when opening files in Illustrator 30.8.2

When I open files, font substitutes to a different weight of the font, and the type window says it’s Myriad (even though it’s not). I tried opening terminal and deleting the library or whatever those instructions said. Also deleted and re-added my fonts to Font Book. That also had no effect. I have files that need to go out today, so this really sucks.

Looks like this problem has been happening for over a year now….there’s another thread regarding same issue in 29.5.1, and Adobe has it marked as Answered….it is definitely not.
