Free Distort tool in AI 30 does nothing for me

I've got this logo where I want to move each corner of the boundary box independently.

Logo is all vector - create outlines/grouped.. ready to go.

I hit the E key - I get the Free Distort tool activated.

I then hit the CMD key, I see the select tool, I select the corner of the boundary box - Nothing. Nothing budges.

Am I missing a step/button? This is Mac AI 3.0

Nvm.

I now see this teeeeeeny tiiiinnnneee pop up box with additional icons. I select perspective distort or free distort.

I would advise in future AI versions to just embed these icons as a dropdown in the main tool bar. That pop box is easy to miss (it was hidden behind my art). ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Was it hidden behind your art or another panel? My art could not cover it up but another panel could.

Regardless, your suggest is a good one. You would vote in the User Voice to the programers know about it.

(Unfortuantely, there are three or four requests for the same thing, so pick the one with the most votes. Always search for an existing idea before posting a new one...)
