Created an art file, in Adobe Illustrator last year, when trying to open it up, with Adobe Illustrator 2022, I get this 'Texr Import Option' window. when i just click OKAY it opens up a blank page. What is the problem? I don't have any issues opening it up on my laptop using Adobe Illustrator 2020.

Hi @DoubleJ_74,

Sorry to hear about that. Generally, when the "text import option" dialog box pops up after launching a file, it means the file has gotten corrupted. As Ton asked above, we would like to know where you saved this file and where it is currently stored when you tried opening it (Network Drive/ System HDD/ Shared Folder on System/ External HDD)?

Also, in addition to Ton's Suggestion, you can also use the Cloud Documents to save your files. For more details, you may visit this helpx article (https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/cloud-documents.html#:~:text=Illustrator%20is%20installed.-,Why%20cloud%20documents,-Hi%2C%20I%27m%20Annie) and learn how to save your work as cloud documents and how they can be useful for your workflow.

We will be looking forward to your response.

Thanks & Regards,

Hello, so we have a lot of files that we create and save on the daily. So many that we've got a Dropbox that we save to. Seems as though the ones, files fromdropbox, that i open through Illustrator, are the ones that give me that 'text import option' window. What i have to do, is drag and drop files to my deaktop, and open from there. Is this something that'll be fixed?

In addition to the suggestion from Anshul to save Cloud documents, I would recommend to save your files in your CC files folder, they get synced to the cloud, but stay local too.

They automatically get versioned (you can go back to previous file versions for at least 10 days ago).

And you can make traditonal backups as well...

I would make a backup of the file that you can open in 2020 on your laptop.

Is that the same file and on the same location that gives you problems?
