Glasses design

Hi guys very new to adobe products, I'm starting to design glasses and sunglasses, I'm in need of vector program to draw the glasses on and that can also apply measurements on like the eye size, arm length etc of the frame. Will illustrator be able to do this?  Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.
