Glitch rotate tool

When I use the rotate tool, the object I am rotating gets stuck to the sursor and I cannot get it unstuck.
I found online several users who have the same problem.
I am using a wacom tablet and a laptop.

Does it happen without the Wacom? The current Wacom driver is not compatible with Illustrator.

True, unplugging the tablet the rotation tool works fine. Any suggestion as to how work around this issue? Or should we wait for wacom to release an updated driver? Or Adobe to make the tool fully compatible with Wacom tablets?

You could try if downgrading Illustrator gets you working again.

 

Next time when updating Illustrator: keep the old version, so you can first try out if everything is ready.
