Gradient goes a different colour when i offset the path?

I've attached an image of this gradient going a line green colour when i try offset the path there's nothing under it i've definitely grabbed the right spot idk why this happens also when i past it into in design it goes this lime green colour aswell

Can you make a screenshot of your entire screen, showing the Appearance panel and Properties panel?
