Question

Gradient is changing my image shape?

When I try to change the color gradient in a shape with rounded images on one side, it changes those rounded images back to squares? How do I change the red gradient and keep the rounded images?

I'm trying to insert a gradient on the red part only. When I do, the rounded corners turn to square.

Which version of Illustrator are you using.

Did you use the Round Corners widgets?

How do you apply the gradient?

    I cannot reproduce the problem.

Maybe show another screendump with the objects selected.

I created the image/rounded corners from InDesign.

The gradient is tricky as I'm still learning gradient.

I click on the red image. then go to gradient panel. It doesn't open with the color of the image but rather black/white. When I click on the black/white to change the color. It makes the box square. Or sometimes when I can get the color red added. It still makes the box square.

    Can you show something?

A shape with rounded images (pictures?) is hard to imagine.
