Graphics shifting during png export...help!

Hi

I am designing a screen loader... below is just a skeleton of the initial setup so you get an idea. There are 48 artboards. Each has a guide, each is placed precisely and then the segments removed one by one... like frames. I have checked and double checked this.

However, when I go to File>Export For Screens and view the sequence in Preview by selecting through them one-by-one, the graphic on the pngs is not sitting in the same place - there's a tiny shift on some and not on others. I redid the whole lot and the same thing is happening which makes me think it is a render issue.

Each object is 48x45mm in a 50x50 box.

Any ideas?

This is my current artboard set up...

When I selected 'Align Artwork to Pixel Grid', this happened... but I need the segments in the right place for the loader to work?

This shows that your artwork is not prepared for the job. A few posts before you said it was aligned. In that case it might have move, but should not distort.

Also: W + H of course should be round numbers, but X and Y (position) as well.

did you use the pixel snapping options while drawing these? are the artboards aligned to the pixel grid too?

They are part of a logo so I have to use the right shape.

I realised I was working in mm so I am now adjusting the artwork to pixels (with no .00) to see if it helps.

Even if they are part of a logo and you need to respect the design -- as you should do with all logos -- you need to adapt to the physical requirements of your output media.
