GRAY BORDER IN PNG WHEN CONVERTING TO PDF FOR GRAPHICS.

Hello everything is fine?

I have a problem in Illustrator. When I save the art in PDF/X-1a:2001 for printing in a graphic, the PNG's are getting these borders around them.

I've already masked it, rasterized it and it still has this gray border.

Does anyone know how to solve it?

Correct answer Ton Frederiks

Looks that is caused by flattening transparency.

Maybe PDF/X-4  works for you?

Or rasterize the images and maybe that smoke effect and keep the text and vector elements above it as vector.

Hellou Ton,

Thank you for the help.
I followed the tip you gave in PDF /X-4 and it worked!
It no longer had the edges.

Do you know if printers generally accept this format?

You have to talk to your printer, the format is from 2010 and if they have a recent rip, it should be supported.

If not, you can always rasterize the image part and image effects of your file.
