GUDE [date of the day].log auto-generating when opening an Illustrator file.

Considering we have no updates on this matter i'll do another post, cause this is very bad and super dangerous.

What is this GUDE.log file that auto-generates when opening Illustrator ?
And why i see posts dated back in May about this specific issue ?

No, disabling the proxy thingy does nothing, so don't tell me about that troubleshoot.

3 days ago i started having issues with Illustrator, on a specific file, suddenly my desktop and other 3 folders of mine got clogged up by random .log file and folders (just numbered from 1 to whatever number they reached). Long story short, got everything corrupted and lost all my work-related and personal files that where on those folders. Needless to say that i'm very disappointed even tho i managed to recover something thanks to my backups, but still for safety measure i had to reinstall Windows and basically reset all my system losing 2 days of work (i'm a Freelance).

CAN WE HAVE A SERIOUS UPDATE ON WHEN THIS ISSUE COULD BE FIXED ?
ARE YOU EVEN LOOKING INTO IT ?

People could lose their personal files! This is no joke!

Now, illustrator is not creating gude log files anymore. I've been keeping eye on them and it has been whole "gude log-free" weeks, after the last Adobe update. (It happened few times right after the update though, I checked the next day) Btw, I didn't change/reset anything.

Old gude.log text files are still in the folders. Even if I double-click to open the illustrator file, gude log file doesn't update itself anymore. Looks like it is fixed for me!

Good to know! I still have no updates to do (i'm on latest version) and the problem still persist (i kinda accepted it now... i just open illustrator first). Hope the problem will disappear as it happened to you!
