I am experiencing right now a very confusing problem regarding my Adobe products especially adobe illustrator and after effects (the latest verisions) when I open the software trying to hover over any UI like exporting or even going to preferences the software becomes laggy and freezes for a moment without any freezing on my computer (GPU is normal no usage and CPU no certain abnormality related to them) this problem really wastes my time over my full time job and makes my too nervous

here is a video of what is happening exactly

    Hi @A7MDz,

I'm sorry to hear this issue is affecting both Illustrator and After Effects and disrupting your workflow.

Could you please confirm the exact version of Illustrator you're using, along with your operating system and version details?

Since the lag seems to occur when interacting with menus and interface dialogs rather than during resource-intensive tasks, I'd recommend manually resetting Illustrator preferences and checking whether that improves the behavior. You can find the steps here:
    https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/video/setting-preferences-video.html

If the issue continues, please try disabling GPU Performance from Illustrator Preferences > Performance and let us know if that makes the interface more responsive.

I'd also recommend testing whether the same behavior occurs when launching the system in Safe Mode or with any third-party plug-ins disabled.

    Windows:

    macOS:

Additionally, it looks like the video link you've shared currently requires permission to access. Could you please update the sharing settings and provide a link with public viewing access so we can review the behavior more closely?

Looking forward to your update on the results, along with the Illustrator version, OS details, and the updated recording link.

    Thanks,
    Abhishek

    Hi @A7MDz,

Thank you for the details, and sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

Since you've already reset preferences, disabled GPU Performance, and tested with plug-ins disabled, I'd like to gather a bit more information to help narrow this down.

Could you please let us know whether the same lag occurs when using a new local Windows administrator account? Also, do you have any of the following installed on the system: Wacom, Huion, or XP-Pen software, Logitech Options+, Razer Synapse, Nahimic, MSI Center, ASUS Armoury Crate/ProArt utilities, or any screen recording, overlay, or monitoring software?

Also, kindly reinstall the GPU drivers (Intel / NVIDIA / AMD) and set the Graphics Preference to High-Performance for Illustrator (Improve Illustrator performance on Windows and macOS | Illustrator) and check if it helps.

Finally, could you please test whether the issue still occurs when Illustrator is launched while Windows is running in Safe Mode?

Looking forward to your update so we can continue investigating this further.

    Thanks,
    Abhishek
