Has anyone's Illustrator been slow to initially open? It shows Not Responding in the task window for a few minutes (then finally opens)..

Lately Ive been having lag issues with Illustrator opening. It takes a few minutes - and when i cmd+opt+esc to see the tasks it always says “not responding.” It does eventually open, but wondering why this is happening? I keep looking for an update to the program, but its been 2 weeks now.
