Help - Fonts won't add

Hello,

I have been trying to add fonts via fonts.adobe.com and through the font options via illustrator, but both options do not seem to be working. On the website I go through, pick a font, click add font, and nothing appears illustrator. Same things go while I'm already in illustrator, I go through the fonts, choose one I want to add, and click the button to add the font. It says "Adding..." for a few minutes and then nothing happens, with it going back to how it was before. I have tried to close and restart the application, and have signed out and back in, but nothing seems to be working. Does anyone know what the issue might be, or how to go about fixing it? The software is all up to date, maybe its my old laptop? I don't know but it is becoming very frustrating.

Thanks!!!

@patrick_8921 I wonder what type of laptop are you using and what version that you are using. Was this all the time or after a recent update? Personally, you seem to done everything I would do. The only thing I can think is either corrupted preferences/cache or a conflict of fonts. With regards to a conflict of fonts, I would manually disable or uninstall any local font that shares the exact same name as the Adobe Font you are trying to sync.

If that doesn't fix,  I would then suggest downloading Adobe Cleaner (straight from Adobe's website, and not a third-party site for this). The Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner tool can fix many common problems (such as removing old Adobe software, system-level cache files, font cache, cleaning corrupt installation files). When you reinstall, all these components are initialized with a clean, default state.

Once you have uninstalled the Acrobat install files with Adobe Cleaner, I would go back to adobe.com and install the Creative Cloud app and try to install Adobe Acrobat again through the Creative Cloud app. Just make sure it's the last version that worked well for you as well.
