Help! Illustrator tools and functions suddenly not working

Suddenly happened, no functions working and ALL tools doing same thing (they all do a brush stroke!)

Sorry to hear about this experience. I hope the suggestions shared by Monika helped resolve the problem. If not, kindly try to reset Illustrator's preferences as described in this article (https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/kb/troubleshoot-preference-issues.html).
Note: Resetting Illustrator's preferences will remove all your custom settings, and Illustrator will start with the default. You may backup your settings from the location mentioned in the article.
