Hi there.

As a newbie to illustrator I need help with what may be a simple task to you all  .... but it's driving me nuts as i cant find a video!!!  Let me explain ....

I've got 8 different A6 size card designs that I need my printer to print for me.

I have put 8 onto an sra3 size art board - 4 on the top line and 4 on the bottom line .... but ....

1)  How do I align all 8 of them so they are equally spaced?

2)  how do I add the crop/trim marks as my artwork doesn't have an outline so the printer can cut to size for me?

Any help that you can offer would really be appreciated!!

Thank you in advance ☺️

Draw an object for each design like a rectangle and make the object's color unpainted ( No fill & no stroke ) then group it with the design elements , now you have your design without a border but the border is there but invisible, now you easily align the cards and  create the trim marks

To create trim marks:

select the invisible rectangle and go to object -> create trim mark , or got to effects -> crop marks then go to object menu and select expand appearance

Usually for putting them on one bigger size, the printer has software.

To align them and get crop marks

first group each card

Then apply crop marks with the effect of the same name

Then use the Align panel.
