I'm three days new to Illustrator. And I'm trying to put the rectangles together without  the black lines. But keeping the old Astros color scheme. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You can use the None button to remove the stroke color:

Do the rectangles have line strokes applied to their edges? If so, the line strokes can be removed in multiple locations in the user interface (bottom of the tool bar, the color palette, etc). Smart guides can be used to snap object edges together (toggle smart guides on/off by selecting the option in the View drop down menu or clicking the Ctrl+U keyboard shortcut).

I just made the rectangles with the rectangle tool and stacked them on top of each other.
