Hi all, I am having an issue when opening artwork saved as a pdf..

While i am not having an issue saving the file itself, when I attempt to open it as a pdf the colors do not seem to be retained within the file..

The gradient applied to the box behing the text seems to dissapear and gets replaced with a black box..

Please see file attached for reference, any help is appreciated!

(Opening the file in illustrator should display the correct colors)

Acoording to the file info it looks created in InDesign > Exported as PDF > Opened in Illustrator > Saved as PDF.

I would not even try to fix this but just recreate a simple version in Illustrator.

Hey Ton, "According to the file info..." - where are you seeing that? Document Info pallette? I'm not seeing anything there. Thanks.

Was this created in Illy or outside? There's clipping masks on clipping masks on clipping masks etc, I'm not sure why, seems to be a simple box with gradient with text over.

Do you have a color profile assigned?

How did you create this file?

What could have been simple rectangles with a gradient and some text is now a maze of images and clipping masks.
