Hi there. When I open Illustrator and go to 'open recent file' the list only shows very old files, completed a long time ago, and shows no recent files at all. Can anyone suggest a remedy?

Sorry to hear that your Recent Files list isn't updating in Illustrator 2026.

To help isolate the issue, could you confirm your operating system and its version? Also, are the affected files stored locally or in cloud storage? Please try opening a file through File > Open and check whether it appears under File > Open Recent Files, both before and after restarting Illustrator.
