Hidden layers in ill. 2025 are deleted when reopen in ill. 2024

Question

I have saved a document in illustrator 2025, and reopened it in illustrator 2024, (because the pencil tool didnt work in 2025) and now all the hidden layers are deleted. That is really not good

Hello @susanb4698246,I am sorry to hear about your experience. I tried replicating this behavior on my end but could not. Would you mind checking if Illustrator behaves this way with all files? Also, kindly confirm the OS/Illustrator version, whether the file was saved as a Cloud Document, and if not, the folder location of the files so I can better assist you.Looking forward to hearing from you.
