How can i convert a PNG file to a higher resolution file?

So i've got a PNG file given to me for my logo - it's got a very pixelated outline & looks like a tiny file - but apparently it's not a tiny file. Looks poor quality online etc as it is & no use for print purposes as it is either. I can't seem to get it to a format where it's a sharp image & a higher resolution to work with successfully. Any step-guide help would be greaaaat. Forgive the lack of skills! Thx!

    cjh,

A logo may consist of (possibly modified) text and/or (possibly simple) geometric shapes and/or custom made shapes, so it may be relevant to use the Type Tool (maybe to start with) for text, the shape tools (such as the Rectangle Tool group), and drawing tools (like the Pen), depending.

You can work on top of the locked (PNG) image set at a suitable size.

Learn how to use the pen tool in Illustrator and then draw it.

There's no automatic conversion mechanism that will give you this with the click of a button.

    Please read the documentation:
