How can I create a large cloud of dotted lines around an object? Photo attached.

Hi everyone!

First time posting here, but I wanted to ask for a bit of advice, I am trying to recreate this effect with a whole load of dots around a central object, but I am not sure how to do this, I will need quite a few dots so ideally I'd be looking for a relatively time consuming method!

That's pretty useful! It led me onto another topic that had another way of doing it, both work well but I'll see which is best for my usage.
